Personal Study Plan

What are the starting points in my vocational teacherhood? -Reflect on your previous strengths and your previous competences.
The fact that I am a foreigner in Finland – and sometimes a foreigner even in my native country -  give me possibility to deal everyday with different cultures. My strengths in teaching then are global competences, with the idea also that a teacher is a person who can motive and stimulate the students. Other strengths: planning (as a working mother I have really strictly timetable) and be able to face different kind of learning situations (such as formal and informal learning).
How do I want to develop as a vocational teacher? What motivates me?
I would like to develop more the character of being an educator - not just a teacher -in order to motivate students (young and adults) in researching, developing and investing their energies in learning for the  working community environment. I would like to learn more about using technologies during the lessons and gets tools how to deal with special needs students. Motivates me working in a group where I can hear different ideas and different methods. Motivates me share information and resources, and of course interesting themes.

What studies support and nurture the development of your core competences?
VOC I and VOC II and Teaching practise.
How do you schedule your studies?
cause I am working during evenings I will schedule my studies during mornings and/or weekends. I am planning to finnish these studies as soon as possible.
Consider the possibilities teacher practise in your own field of work. In which vocational institute or polytechnic or other institute can I carry out my teacher practise? What core contents shall I concentrate on? Which target audience shall be my students?
High schools, universities. I shall concentrate on competences in the world of work,  in RDI and values integration. I should also concentrate on the pedagogical studies.
Teenagers and adults.
What former competences or learning shall I present to be accredited? –Familiarize yourself with the accreditation policies of the school.

Use three sentences to describe how you see yourself as a vocational teacher in the future
- a person who finds motivations and inspirations in daily working life even when it´s hard to find those
- a vocational teacher as an educator on 360 degrees but still learning in progress
- a teacher who can give something to the students that they can bring always with them: teaching not just history or language but also life!
